When first approached by a professional musician to build a custom case for her Oud, I didn't even know what it was. But I went down to the Bluma Appel Theater on Front street in Toronto to measure the traditional Turkish stringed instrument. After some CAD drawings, wood, aluminum trim, foam and fabric, I was proud to present to her a case that would protect her oud on the road as she travels from theater to theater.
